Main Problems

The worst problems with this home involved the floors which were badly uneven in several rooms. The stairs were also uneven with the newel posts also being out of line. Our inspector was quite concerned about the whole of the top floor of the house and this may require further investigation.

There were some problems with the kitchen units being uneven and chipped and the plinths were damaged.

All of the stone cills to the external of the property were chipped and the fence was unfinished.

Generally the home was of a reasonable standard (compared to what we see here on a daily basis) with most defects (25) concerning paintwork and decoration.

Mr Nicholson said, "I was most impressed with the inspection that was carried out by Bryn yesterday on my new home!I feel that I got extremely good value for money and that I know I have bought a good house with only some minor problems that need rectification.

Because of his in-depth knowledge of house building and the NHBC regulations I feel that the Site Agent took the comments he made very seriously and I have no doubt that they will all be rectified prior to me moving in.

Please feel assured that I will recommend Inspector Home to anyone I meet in the future that is going to purchase a new build house.

Could you pass on my thanks to Bryn for the detailed inspection he carried out."
